🏡 Finding Saltwick in Briggswath
From Sleights / North Yorkshire Moors:
As you enter Briggswath from Sleights, turn right just after crossing the River Esk bridge. Continue up the road and take the second left onto Carr Hill Lane. Then take the first left into Garbutts Yard — Saltwick is the first property on the shared drive.
From Whitby:
As you approach Sleights from Whitby, turn left just before the River Esk bridge. Follow the road, taking the second left onto Carr Hill Lane, then first left into Garbutts Yard. Saltwick is the first property up the drive.
From Ruswarp:
Follow the main road into Briggswath village. After passing Perry’s Garden Centre, turn right onto Carr Hill Lane. Then take the first left into Garbutts Yard, and you’ll find Saltwick as the first house on the drive.

From the North:
Take the A171 south from Guisborough for a scenic drive across the moors. If you're coming from the Yorkshire coast, you can follow the A171 north from Scarborough.
From the South & West:
Most routes will bring you via the A64, then follow the A169 through Malton and Pickering, joining the A171 into Whitby. This journey takes you across the North York Moors, offering some truly breathtaking views.
